Q & A

Experience & Background

How long have you been doing corporate photography, and what kinds of companies have you worked with?
I’ve been a corporate photographer for 10 years, working with clients from finance, tech, law, and creative industries, including EY, Marriott, Flight Centre, DHL, and NatWest.

Can you show examples of past corporate shoots—headshots, events, office culture, etc.?
Yes, I have a portfolio with samples of executive headshots, conference coverage, brand lifestyle imagery, and office photography available on my website. If you would like a specific portfolio sent over, just ask!

Do you specialise in certain industries or types of corporate imagery?
My specialty is creating consistent brand imagery for technology and professional services firms, focusing on headshots, leadership portraits, and workplace storytelling.

Understanding the Brand

How do you approach capturing a company’s culture and brand identity in photos?
I start with a brand consultation to understand tone, colour palette, and messaging, then plan compositions and lighting that reflect the company’s values.

How do you ensure consistency if we have multiple sessions over time?
I use detailed shoot notes, fixed lighting setups, and reference images so future sessions match the same style and quality.

Technical Skills & Setup

What kind of equipment do you use, and do you have backups in case of failure?
I use the latest full-frame DSLR and mirrorless cameras with prime and zoom lenses, plus backup bodies, lenses, and lighting equipment. All imagery is backed up in two locations.

Do you bring your own lighting, backdrops, and props, or do we need to provide them?
I provide all lighting, seamless backdrops, and minimal props; the client only needs to arrange the space and people.

How do you handle shoots in low-light or challenging environments?
I use portable strobes, fast lenses, and noise reduction techniques to capture sharp, well-lit images in dim settings.

People & Process

How do you make people comfortable in front of the camera—especially those who aren’t used to it? I guide subjects with relaxed conversation, simple posing instructions, and positive feedback to help them feel natural. With over 10 years working with people all over the world, I am well versed keeping people relaxed before and during the photoshoot.

How do you manage large group shots or tight schedules?
I pre-plan shot lists, assign staging areas, and use an assistant to keep sessions efficient and on schedule where needed.

Can you adapt your style for formal corporate portraits vs. candid workplace shots?
Yes, I adjust lighting, composition, and direction based on whether the goal is a polished studio portrait or a dynamic candid.

Timeline & Logistics

What’s your typical turnaround time for edited photos?
Edited photos are typically delivered within 5 business days, with rush delivery available where needed.

How many edited images can we expect, and do you provide all raw images?
You’ll receive 15–20 edited images per hour of shooting; raw files are not included unless agreed upon in advance.

Can you work on-location at our office, or do you prefer a studio setting?
I shoot entirely on-location recreating studio conditions where needed; I bring portable gear to adapt to any environment.

Rights & Licensing

Who owns the copyright to the images?
I retain copyright, but you receive a full commercial usage license for agreed platforms and purposes.

Are there restrictions on how we can use the photos (web, print, advertising, social media)?
The license covers web, print, social media, and internal use; separate licensing is needed for resale or third-party use.

Budget & Extras

What’s included in your base price, and what costs extra?
The base rate includes pre-shoot planning, photography, basic editing, and delivery. Extensive retouching, travel outside of London, and rush fees are extra.

Do you offer retouching services, and at what cost?
Yes, advanced retouching is available at £25 per image, covering skin smoothing, colour correction, and background cleanup.

Do you provide packages for ongoing corporate needs (events, quarterly updates, etc.)?
Yes, I offer discounted retainer packages for recurring shoots, including quarterly updates and annual event coverage.
